Hydrogel dressing
Pharmagel is a sterile transparent polyurethane hydrogel dressing containing 60% water.
Pharmagel provides moisture to the wound bed and at the same time, it absorbs exudates locking it inside, this moisture balance promotes granulation and faster epithelialization.
Intended Purpose:
• Suitable for treatment of all wounds in granulation and epithelialization phase with no to low exudate level.
• Due to Pharmagel’s high water content, it is suitable for use in debridement.

Contraindications:
• Pharmagel should not be used on infected wounds nor on third degree burns.
• Pharmagel should not be used on highly exuding wounds.
Precautions:
• Pharmagel shouldn’t be used on patients with a known sensitivity to propylene glycol.
• In case of reddening or allergy, please seek medical attention.
• Dispose as a contaminated waste.
• Cleanse the wound as per local procedures, then rinse with saline solution.
• Dry the surrounding skin carefully.
• Pharmagel can be cut to fit the wound area and shape, if required.
• Choose a dressing which is slightly larger than the wound.
• Remove the dressing’s protective liner.
• Apply the dressing in intimate contact with the wound base, ensuring the entire surface is covered.
• Cover the dressing with an appropriate retention bandage or secondary dressing.
Frequency of change:
• Generally the dressing could left in place up to 7 days, depending on exudates level and clinical condition of the wound.
Dressing Removal:
• To remove Pharmagel, use tweezers, forceps or a gloved hand to gently lift the dressing away.
