Instructions for Use

– How to cut Pharma-KT:
A) I STRIP:(1) 1. Measure your tape. 2. Fold tape in half to round both ends at the same time.
B) Y STRIP:(2) 1. Cut an I STRIP. 2. Cut your I STRIP in half vertically, leaving a tab of about 10cm at the end. 3. Round the edges.
C) LYMPH FAN:(3) 1. Cut each tail of your Y STRIP in half again vertically, so that you have 4 tails. 2. Round the edge.
– How to apply:
A) NEUTRAL: 1. Stretch the muscle, not the tape. 2. Rip the backing paper at both ends. 3. Lay one anchor down before laying the rest of the tape with 0% stretch.
B) STRETCH:(4) 1. Rip the backing paper at both ends. 2. Remove the center section. 3. Use the tabs at each end to stretch the center of the tape and apply over a point of pain.
– How to remove:(5)
1. Remove the tape by stretching the skin underneath.
2. Peel the tape with the direction of any hair.
– Tips for application:
1. Make sure the skin is clean and dry, free from lotions/oils.
2. Shaving before applying is not necessary, however it unquestionably helps with adhesion and it’s recommended for more intensive exercise. If you prefer, we recommend
that you trim the hair down rather than a clean shave.
3. Round the edges to prevent fraying or catching on clothes.
4. If applying tape on a joint, be sure the joint is in a fully bent position. If the tape is applied over a knee or elbow in an extended position, the tape will pull off when the joint moves.
5. Never stretch the first or the last of the tape on either end. The tape on the ends should be applied directly to the skin without stretching; otherwise it will pull up and will
not stick.
6. If the tape is stretched too much it can cause irritation & the anchors must be laid with 0% stretch
7. Often the point of pain isn’t the root of the cause. To get the best results ask a trained professional to assist.
8. Be sure to apply the adhesive by firmly rubbing the tape onto the skin and make sure all the edges are down. For best results apply the tape 30 minutes before athletic
activity.(6)
9. Pharma-KT can remain on the skin for a number of days since it is water resistant. The length of time will vary depending on the area of application and usage. For example,
applying to the feet may only last 1-2 days (more wear and tear), whilst the postural area could last 5 days.
