Description

Protectfilm Framestyle is a transparent protective wound dressing that consists of thin bacteria-proof, virus-proof and waterproof polyurethane film coated with hypoallergenic adhesive.
The dressing is equipped with a frame delivery system for easier handling.

Intended Purpose:
• As a primary dressing, it’s intended to cover and protect dry or slightly exuding wounds such as: abrasions, lacerations and areas of
friction.
• As a secondary dressing, it’s used as a fixation device, to secure catheter sites and to cover other primary dressings like alginates, hydrogels, gelling fibers and foams.

Contraindications & Precautions

Precautions:
• Sterility of the dressing is guaranteed unless the pouch is damaged or opened prior to use.
• For single use only .Re-using may cause cross contamination.
• Should not be used after expiry date.
• Should not be used on patients with sensitivity to acrylic adhesive.
• Should not be used on infected or bleeding wounds unless under medical supervision.
• Repeated application may cause skin damage to patients with thin or fragile skin.

Instructions for Use

1. Clean the wound and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
2. Remove the release liners of the dressing.
3. View the site through the film and central the dressing over the wound, do not stretch during application.
4. Slowly remove the frame while smoothing down the dressing edges, then smooth the entire dressing from
the central toward the edges using firm pressure to enhance adhesion.
