Transparent cannula fixation dressing.
Pharmapore PU IV is a self-adhesive hypoallergenic dressing consisting of a pad placed centrally on a waterproof, bacterial-proof and viral-proof polyurethane backing material.
The dressing has an incision along the middle for catheter and cannula fixation
Intended Purpose:
The I.V. variants are used for catheter and cannula fixation and securement.

Contraindications:
There are no absolute contra-indications to the use of the products, but don’t use on patients with known sensitivity to the
product or any of its components.
Precautions:
• Reuse of the product increases risk of infection or cross-contamination.
• Dispose as a contaminated waste.
• The dressing should not be used with highly exuding wounds as it may cause tissue maceration.
• The dressing should not be used on patients with known sensitivity to acrylic adhesive.
• The dressing should not be used on full thickness wounds and third degree burns. It can be applied on infected wounds only
under medical supervision.
• The skin should be clear and dry before application to ensure good adhesion..
1. Open the pouch using aseptic technique. Hold the dressing at either
side of the wave cut and stretch the support paper a little to loosen the wave cut.
2. Remove the larger flap of the release liner to expose the adhesive surface.
3. Place the dressing on the injection site. Remove the lower flaps.
4. Slowly remove the upper support paper while smoothing down the transparent film dressing edges.
